  2. Yep, almost a year after McCain's letter. It's a real shame the Democratic congress couldn't pass something to head it off. Given Obama's ties to Acorn, which was greatly (though not solely) responsible for pressuring people to get into houses they couldn't afford, he would have first hand knowledge of what the problem actually was. Oh, I know; he's denying association with Acorn, but there's enough proof otherwise.

  4. Obama is not denying assocation with ACORN -and there three branches of idea started off good, especially the housing movement for the poor and the idea of affordable home loans that were "appropriate". ACORN did not make up sub prime loans, lenders like Countrywide created them. ACORN pushed an idea that was unreasonable in its romanticism, but it did not create this problem - the lenders created every last one of those loan products and in the end, are responsible for selling them. Also - the part of ACORN that is corrupted is the voting arm - not part of the housing arm - and Obama's associations are with the housing part in his past as a laywer for getting housing to the poor in government. I mean really, come on!

  5. • Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
    • Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as a trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.
    • Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992.

The above is from Obama's fight the smears site; sounds like a denial to me.

Nope - I take issue with this too: one branch is not rotten - the whole tree is.

  7. perhaps so but you are talking about an organization that's been around for 30 years and he has not been a ground breaking member and those FACTS are indeed fACTS and he is not a motivating member - they endorsed him b/c he works for the poor as a Democrat throughout his career - and at one time was assigned as a young lawyer to a team representing them :)

  8. One of many articles proving he was associated with ACORN.

  9. i don't think he's involved in voter fraud

    i just don't think he's corrupt

    or has some evil plan

and i sure as hell don't think his judgment is any worse than george bush, richard nixon, or sarah palin - all republicans
