Time For a Nap

From the Daily Telegraph:

"Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest."

"Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk."

Let's hope Obama gets a nap before he tries to negotiate with the Taliban. They don't suffer fools well.

Ed Laskey reminds us (in case anyone forgot) that Mr. Obama brings no business or real world experience to this job and has never had to be accountable to anyone for results except his voting bloc.

Do you feel safer now?

  1. Nice post, I hope he doesn't get any rest, that way he see how tough the job is. He thought it would be peaches and cream running the country. I say 'give him hell'

  2. So he's surprised that being President is a tough job? Unprepared, just like we said.

  3. I'm trying to recall hearing Obama say it would be peaches and cream running the country. Hmmm, that quote just doesn't seem to come to mind.

Maybe it's time to rename this blog to "I Hate Obama." That would probably be a more fitting title because 99% of these posts are blasting Obama or his "minions" or his policies or whatever. You have the right to do that but you're also not making much of a case for your own party. How about some insight into the Republican party and what they are up to other than criticizing the president? I'm sure they are doing more, but from this blog you'd never know it. Educate us on that end rather than just always blasting Obama.

  4. Please. :)

And I take this whole quote about Obama being shocked at the amount of work as total gossip. How is that different from a story saying "Unnamed sources close to ABC say 'The Bachelor' was completely rigged this season." Well if sources say so, it just must be true! Because everything everyone says is the truth.

Plus, I don't think we should criticize him for being tired. That is just getting silly. He's not a superhero. He's human, and he just assumed the presidency for a country that's falling over on its side. Of course he's going to get tired!

And I guess being a professor means you don't have to be accountable to anyone for results? Does that mean you, as a teacher, are not accountable to anyone? Because if that's the case maybe I need to switch careers.

  5. Nikki im sorry sweety, but I didn't say Obama said it would be peaches and cream, your telling me you have never heard this term use in place of 'a breeze' come on give me a break. 'professor?' humm....right! like that really mean something, (((don't take that the wrong way,im in the Professional Field Also, it not an issue to be discussed with blogger and I really wouldn't want anybody knowing))). But thank you for sharing that with me, my point with the post was, Obama has to take the heat if he wants to be a cook, do I have to translate that! I think I do. To run any large organization it stress will cause fatigue, to interact with political figures and maintain a married life style with two children cause fatigue, Obama is the president and should have know this before he became president. Now since he is in that position he's feeling the fatigue of office. The media plays on this to make the public feel compassion for Obama, just like his wife 'toned arms' please. Im not falling for the sensitive plea. If he wants to run the country, be a leader, show your tough.
