I'm still here; I've been sitting with my mom 24/7 and haven't had a blind second to read anything much less blog about it. She's not improving as we'd hoped and Steve and I are kicking ourselves right now for letting her over rule us on the hospital deal. We're about to revisit that idea. There's no reason in the world why she should be in such pain and discomfort when there are hospitals and drugs that can help her.
I appreciate you checking here though and I'll be back shortly. As much as I love you, families are more important than blogs.
xoxoxo
Pat, I'll say a prayer for you and your mom (and Steve). Hang in there, we'll be here if you need us.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chris!
ReplyDeleteAgain, my best wishes and prayers to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you, of course, but you've got your priorities straight. :)
I've recently subscribed to your blog because I like having an idea of what is going on back in Shreveport. I just saw this post.
ReplyDeleteI was in a similar position about a year and a half ago. I understand where you are coming from.
I will include your mother and you in my prayers.
Pain hurts and should be avoided at all costs. You know my feelings on going in to get medical help.
ReplyDeleteHope she recovers quickly. Falls at that age can be a sign of something else that needs attention ASAP.
We've gone through the same thing with my eighty-four year old parents, Pat, so I empathize. You have to walk a fine line between letting them be independent and taking control...and, damn, it ain't easy.
ReplyDeleteGodspeed.
Pat I hope she feels better soon. What a rough patch for both of you. Have said a prayer for her.
