Play Ball!

Ah, I miss you Dubya. You were not always perfect and we had our differences but by gosh you didn't ever go over to Europe and talk about what an arrogant and awful country we are. History will treat you a lot better than many folks right now might believe. Just wait and see.

  1. I hope you're right about history treating Bush better than people believe, but I doubt it.

By and large, people of class and high moral standing don't get treated very well in history now, especially as leftist historians are busily trying to disparage him as much as possible to prop up Obama's administration.

  2. It is difficult to imagine how history could regard a president who so routinely disregarded the constitution he was sworn to protect in anything other than a negative light. There is no question Bush did some good things while in office - every president does. However, the waste of the Iraq war, the warrantless wiretaps on US citizens, and the concept of "enemy combatants" is more than enough to permanently stain Bush's reputation.

Ah yes, presidents like Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and Andrew Jackson are held in such contempt by historians...
