Today is A. A. Milne's birthday, author of the wonderful Winnie The Pooh. I LOVED the Pooh stories. Favorite character? Piglet.
Loved when Pooh held onto the helium balloons to get to the honey in the tree. I always wanted to do that.

As I got older I grew to like the Winnie the Pooh stories. The trouble is I have one thing in common with the bear, I'm (always)in the mood for food. I still think Eeyore needs Prozac.
I read a chapter at a time to Alex from Milne's book and because there are few photos, and it's really quite sophisticated ready - he can barely sit still for it. So I have to improvise and speed up and be more literal about the stories - then he loves it. He likes the animated version on tv - but for SOME reason they changed Christopher Robin to some girl!!??
I like Pooh best. Isabel is a huge Tigger fan - did her kid's first nursery in the story. :)
