Don't know if everyone is aware, but they are having a big party in Monroe this weekend, called the Commander something with the Duck people. I hear at least 40,000 are expected. Sounds like fun.
As to the tree being real. I tried something one year. I took our old tree outside. It had been well cared for. I decided to see just how easy it is to burn. I threw a match at it and before the match hit a branch the whole thing erupted in a huge fire ball. The fire went about 30 feet up and was much hotter than gas. So be careful.

I know that Thanksgiving and Christmas were pretty rough the year I lost my father. And getting out is a good way to deal with that void that's there.

How the heck did I miss this?? Since I've had to switch to Feedly, many things get missed. I wish we still had Google Reader.
Anyhoo, the tree looks gorgeous. Mines not even up yet. Maybe tomorrow...
