Duck Commander Extends Its Brand to Firearms

The Duck Dynasty brand is everywhere.

There is, of course, the wildly popular television show; the box sets and DVDs are big sellers on Amazon.  There are cookbooks, beef jerky, bacon jerky, running shoes (you have to get on a waiting list), daily devotionals, prom dresses, a Duck Commander cruise, sunglasses, baby clothes, cologne, and well, it goes on and on.

Oh, and they make duck calls, too.
\
Now, add guns to the list.  The ever enterprising Robertson clan now has its own line of guns manufactured by Mossberg.
The gunmaker Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by "Duck Dynasty's" Robertson clan, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.
The guns are manufactured under the Duck Commander brand, rather than Duck Dynasty, which I suspect cuts A&E out of the equation.

Over-exposed or not, you've got to admire the entrepreneurial spirit!

Strike while the iron is hot.

Plus, they know their target market.

When I was leaving a family get-together at Christmastime, some of my mother's cousins were sitting at the table trying to figure out the rules of the Duck Dynasty board game

HA! I didn't know about that one! I think there's an iPhone game, but I might be confusing it with Swamp People.
