Shock Study! Texting and Driving is Dangerous!

In a shocking study sponsored by The National Institutes of Health and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there is now evidence that texting and dialing while driving increases the risk of crash:
A sophisticated, real-world study confirms that dialing, texting or reaching for a cellphone while driving raises the risk of a crash or near-miss, especially for younger drivers. But the research also produced a surprise: Simply talking on the phone did not prove dangerous, as it has in other studies.
Seriously?

We needed a study for this?

Do you just love the prose?  "A sophisticated, real-world study...".

Can't we just concentrate on transgender kindergarteners or something?

According to a study, younger people are more inclined to using their phones to send and/or receive messages while driving.
