"One of my Godchildren is a Member of the NRA"

Does this actually reassure anybody that she's pro-Second Amendment? "One of my Godchildren is a member of the NRA. And I have friends who hunt..."

Hunting is fine, organizations such as NRA are fine. She forgot the important part - intent of the founders.
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
Thomas Jefferson

I've a nephew who's a judge (D) in your neck of the woods there on the Red River. A few years back he ran a tv ad during the election of him in the field hunting with his sons. Funny. He's never hunted in his life, and a check of the records would probably show he never held a license. He went after those sportsmen and gun owner votes though.

Deception has been perfected by Democrats, so I suspect the future SCOTUS member is an expert, as displayed by her confirmation hearings. For a child of privilege, with a record of serial-marriages (3?) to the rich that rivals John Kerry, she plays the disadvantaged minority role to the hilt. This woman will be a destructive force directed at The Constitution. Empathy. spit.

I vote NO to Sotomayor. Pro hunting doesn't mean pro gun. Guns are not just for hunting. I've never been hunting a day in my life. But I am armed.

Well, isn't that nice.

Sorry, not good enough for me. Still think she is a gun grabbing leftist no matter how many folks she knows that hunt or are members of the NRA.
