Obama Sells Out the Brits

Every time I think Obama can't shock me anymore, BAM!

The new Wikileaks drop and today's Telegraph revelation that Obama agreed to throw the U.K. under the bus to get his START treaty is giving me flashbacks to Clinton's ChinaGate.  It's not exactly the same thing, but exactly what diplomatic advantage is gained by giving our enemies defense secrets?  Ours or anyone else's?

According to the Telegraph report:

Information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain will be given to Russia as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week. Defence analysts claim the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.
The fact that the Americans used British nuclear secrets as a bargaining chip also sheds new light on the so-called “special relationship”, which is shown often to be a one-sided affair by US diplomatic communications obtained by the WikiLeaks website.
Ace suggests we give this one 24 hours and keep in mind:

One thing: WikiLeaks doesn't have all the diplomatic cables. It might be the case (in fact, I'd bet hope it is the case) that the US and UK had a side-deal where the UK blessed this exchange.
Even if that's the case, it seems to me that any allies we have left might be reluctant to trust us in the future.  That is assuming that they still do, which is questionable.

Nice Deb suggests that this might also violate Article 3 of the NATO treaty.

I'm waiting for the spin to begin so we can sift through and find the real story.  Surely this can't be IT.  But if it is, hearings should begin immediately and as Ed Morrissey says:
Regardless of what Obama thinks of American nuclear deterrents and policy, he has no right to undermine the policies of our closest ally and stalwart friend, especially as they fight with us in Afghanistan.  Congress should immediately investigate this, and if possible the Senate should revoke its ratification of START.
What a disgrace.  Again.

I was so angry last night. We all knew he hates the Brits, but to stick it to them this way? I wish he had been invited to the wedding so it could be rescinded in public. This man has no shame. Our longest ally.

Not just a disgrace, but treason, and anyone else, an agent for example, would be arrested and charged with treason, and since it is espionage, sent to prison or hanged. Just one more example of a series of treasons Obama has committed since in office. Right down to the serial numbers of each missile.

Why is it treason? It is "adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort". (Now if any airhead liberal comes back and says the Russians aren't our enemies anymore, we defeated them etc. just isn't paying attention to world events. They never stopped being the enemy, are even more so now and are reeking of revenge for being so humiliated by the West. The US and Britain are #1 and #2 on their list.)

Also keep in mind--if the cables published by Wikileaks are indeed real, these have been available since last year when the leaks became an issue. The ratification by the Senate means that senators must have seen these cables, and are part of the treason.

So this crazy like a fox fool continues to trash the U.S., destroy the economy, break alliances, ruin the process of law, disregard the Constitution, and play this deadly card game...and we just sit back and keep letting it happen. What's it gonna take???

U.S. Constitution Article III
Section. 3.
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."

"President Obama would not turn coat on our greatest alley . . ."

If this is proven top be true, the U.S. is done as a perceived world leader! If this President has in fact done what is charged in the leaked cables, he must be impeached immediately! As Pat asked above. Were the people in the Senate notified as required of this action? If so, why did the Senate vote to allow this to happen? Or is it possible this is another "we didn't read the entire thing" moment? If in fact the leaders of the Senate did in fact have knowledge of this action then they to should be brought up on charges!

Again, this is alleged but something I feel is in line with the actions of this Marxist we now have in the White House. Very scary!

@QR:
You're referring to the hate mail post? I liked THIS line:

"...thin maybe your voice on a national level may be heard."

OMG.

If true then this could be considered treason or very close to it.

I knew Obama was going to be bad news for the country when I heard him say that "we are going to fundamentally change the country." Never having been a government employee, I just had no real understanding of the damage he could wrought.

Pres. Obama is living up to his billing as the "change" man. Change, especially in the sense of abandoning the past, with seemingly little regard for the costs. Change as a value in itself.
