One of my union stories happened in WWII. The Marines knew that the Japs were headed their way on Midway. They called for ammunition and supply. A ship arrived just before the Japs. But the union stevedores would not off load due to a lack of appropriate union people on the dock. Ultimately the Marines convinced them otherwise.; September 28, 2011 8:00 PM
