More Media Bias

If you Google "Rick Perry Drunk" you get over 13,000,000 results.

This is, in part I suppose, to his latest speech in New Hampshire and the viral video that was compiled of it.  Personally, I'd rather have a little more relaxed Perry than the guy I've seen at the debates.

I don't know if he was under the influence of anything or not.  I just want to know where were all the questions by the same media about Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers when Barack Obama was a candidate, outside of conservative blogs?

The same media who now vilifies Herman Cain over an incident 15 years ago did not have any questions for Obama and his alliances.  No questions about his college thesis.  No questions about anything, really.

Valid questions or not, it's still hypocrisy.

Who Cares?

Even if Bill Ayers really wrote Dreams From My Father, why would he spontaneously confess this to a stranger in an airport, especially after she reveals she is a conservative blogger?

Because he likes to play games?

Maybe he did and maybe he didn't. Maybe he heavily edited it. There's been a lot of speculation for months now; Jack Cashill has been analyzing the text for months, but what difference does it make at this point? If the end game is to reveal Obama as a liar for having claimed sole credit for the book, well, we already know he is really proficient at hiding the truth.

Does Bill Ayers want the royalties now, after all this time? Why not when the book was at the top of the charts? Don't you think Obama already took care of Ayers if, in fact, he did write the book for BHO?

No, no, no.

I admire Backyard Conservative's gumption for striking up a conversation with Ayers though. But if he wrote the book, well, it just doesn't matter to me anymore. I already know what I need to know about Obama.

Ayers Erratic Speaking Schedule

First there was Canada, then Boston College, and now Naperville.

It's rough being Bill Ayers. The life of an old terrorist is not all it's cracked up to be. Just last week Ayers was uninvited to speak at Boston College and now Napervillie North High School has rescinded its invitation after a flurry of protests and hostile e-mails from parents and residents.

The Naperville Sun reports that "Superintendent Dr. Alan Leis released a statement Monday that noted the district’s original reaction was a possible change in venues, saying 'over the weekend, however, it became clear that this issue was not really about where Dr. Ayers was speaking, but that he was speaking at all.'"

Ayers was also scheduled to speak at a local bookshop and that visit has also been canceled; Boston College has also said that Ayers will not only be not visiting the campus but he will not be speaking via videoconference either.

What's a terrorist to do? This certain opens up his social calendar, and the graduation season is near. Maybe Notre Dame will have an opening?

Boston College Rejects Terrorist Bill Ayers

Boston College has turned back unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers who was scheduled to speak there on education reform and civic engagement at the invitation of Americans for Informed Democracy and the College Democrats. The event was to be co-sponsored by Boston College’s Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy.

Ayers, you will remember, is a founding member of the violent radical-left anti-war group the Weather Underground, which was blamed for a series of bombings that killed several people.

The listeners of radio station 96.9 WTKK mobilized and shut the event down. Michael Graham has the time line of the shut-out here. The Boston Herald reports that Jack Dunn, director of public affairs for Boson College, indicated he was "unaware that Ayers had been invited to BC when first contacted by the Herald yesterday. Student organizers who had confirmed the speaking engagement in the afternoon called back shortly afterward to report it was canceled."

At last word, students are attempting to reschedule the event off-campus.

Ayers is, however, still scheduled to speak on April 8 at Naperville North High School in Illinois. Officials there say Ayers will be limited to speaking about three subjects. Those are Ayers' time with the Weather Underground, the attention he received on the campaign trail and education.

Nitwit Melissa Roberts, a member of the College Democrats at BC said, “We’re going to make sure this respected academic gets heard.” He might be a "respected academic" in some circles, but he's still unrepentant about his radical, terrorist past and for that reason alone he should not have a public forum in which to espouse his hate for America.

A Case of Judgment

Update: Obama was a registered socialist in 1996.

Obama was a member of the New Party in 1996.

I'm going to reiterate what I have said here before (and likely invite the ire of all my democratic friends), but Mr. Obama has displayed poor judgment in his association with Mr. Ayers, Mr. Rezko, Mr. Wright, Mr. Farrakhan, etc.

The current spin by his campaign that he "didn't know the history" about Ayers is hogwash.

As it has been pointed out to me before, just because you have crazy friends does not make you crazy; it does not make you like them. But I see a pattern here in Mr. Obama's associations and I do not trust him. I do not.

Yes, it is true that Mr. Obama was eight when Ayers was blowing things up but he was 40 when Ayers said he "didn't do enough" with regard to the bombings. Obama also served on boards with Ayers and knew who and what he was. Ayers launched Obama's senatorial campaign in Chicago in his home, and Obama knew who and what he was. Did he think Ayers was repentant? Surely not. Or was he just doing what he had to do to get introduced into the machine that is Chicago politics? Maybe. Ayers posed for this picture in 2001 while he and Obama served on the Woods board together. Do I hold Obama responsible for the actions of Mr. Ayers? No, but I think as an ambitious politician you should probably pick your associates a little better.

Do I think Obama listened to Wright for TWENTY YEARS and didn't know the man was full of vile hatred? Do I think he was that clueless? No. I think he finally left Trinity Church because it was politically expedient to do so. I think he likely joined there in the first place because it was a political benefit as well.

Poor judgment. That is all. Poor character. Poor leader. Poor choice.
