Not One Red Cent!
The Swine Pox
1. I am a total softie when it comes to dogs; I love my dog more than a lot of people.
2. I love teaching but I'm looking forward to the summer when I can write full-time. By fall, I'll be ready to teach all day again!
3. I eat Hot Tamales cinnamon candy and Diet Coke for breakfast. Every. Single. Day.
4. There are currently eight different kinds of beer in my refrigerator. Mostly dark beers.
5. I do NOT exercise. Ever. At all.
6. I love great writers. One of my favorite writers is E. B. White - I prefer his essays and letters, even though I loved his fiction as a child. My favorite Hemingway book is The Sun Also Rises. I'm not trying to suck up here, but I love the way Stacy McCain writes when he gets on those long rants. I aspire to write as well as these people but fear I never will.
7. I never considered being anything other than an English teacher.
8. My mother is my best friend; she cracks me up. (Steve is my best friend too, just different.)
Gee that was fun. Thanks Pundette. I'm going to pass this to Sarah, Nikki, and The Vegas Art Guy.

Rule 5 Sunday Linkage

Your gratuitous Sunday Rule Five beefcake this week is Heath Ledger. What a cutie!
The news cycle this week was consumed with Nancy Pelosi stories and I just couldn't bring myself to write about her. I can't read about her anymore, either, so here are some Non-Pelosi links for you.
Cynthia Yockey has the cutest cat pictures!
Babalu Blog has a couple of great posts on Marco Rubio here and here.
And speaking of Marco Rubio, Robert Stacy McCain has launched a new blog, Not One Red Cent! which highlights the folly of the NRSC endorsement of RINO Charlie Crist for the Florida Senate seat in 2010 over a true conservative such as Rubio. Yours truly is a contributing writer there, and I'm in the company of some really kickass bloggers, so check it out, and bookmark it!
Generation Patriot muses over the Huntsman appointment, uhm, I mean exile.
Moe Lane has posted a handy-dandy checklist. Are you compliant?
Yukio, who ALWAYS has my back against the trolls, has a hilarious post on the importance of words.
Jimmie at The Sundries Shack weighs in on the heath care debate. It's going to get nasty folks, and you should be doing your homework. Professor Jacobson also has some insight on this issue.
At first I thought Lance at TrogoPundit had been overindulging in Cheerios, but then I understood.
Robert Stacy McCain is seeing the light with regard to Obama's "unsustainable" comments. Open your wallets.
Donald Douglas at American Power has a great post on saving the Ford Motor Company. And scroll down for some Rule 5 Jessica Simpson action. WHO says she's fat?!
Be sure to read Carol's post at No Sheeples Here on Islam Day; did you realize it's actually on 9/11?
Have you ever seen a Blobfish? He's kinda cute! :)
And speaking of critters, we're going to have to get PETA after Sandy. But Darrell and the raccoons are safe from PETA. Not sure about the dog though!
Still on the critter front, add Michilenes to your list - she's been trolling this blog for days, trying very hard to insult everyone who comments. Go check out her blog and her cats. She at least has cute cats.
And finally, don't forget to check out Immersion. Jessica has finally made it to South Korea!
Crist Out of Favor with Grassroots Republicans
(Cross Posted at Not One Red Cent!)The Crist/Rubio race for the Senate in Florida goes right to the heart of what is most at issue for the Republican party.
Grassroots Republicans, those that came out in large numbers for the nationwide Tea Parties, are sick and tired of the Democrat-lite Republicans like Snowe, Specter, and Collins - the three Republican defectors that voted for the Stimulus bill. Crist would have been on that list had he been in the Senate at the time of the vote.
Crist supported the Stimulus bill and in February and shared the stage with Obama when he spoke in Ft. Myers, Florida to promote the bill.
Ana Navarro, a Republican consultant in Miami, was quoted as saying "Charlie Crist goes all wobbly in the knees every time he hears Barack Obama's voice...Politically, Charlie Crist is putting the Florida Republican federal elected representatives in a very tough spot." Navarro went on to say that if the Republican delegation "got Charlie Crist in a dark alley, all you'd have left is a tuft of white hair." She says that she's received calls from outraged Republican donors questioning Crist's intentions with regard to his Senate ambitions. "We could end up with a guy who's going to be the 60th vote for the Democrats" Navarro said.
Veteran Republican consultant Alex Castellanos said, "I don't think he's helped any national Republican ambitions he may have by stepping up to the plate and batting for the other team...There's a difference between working in a bipartisan way for the common good and switching sides and putting on the other team's jersey."
Pat Toomey, president of the conservative Club for Growth, said of Crist's Stimulus support: "It certainly hurts Charlie Crist with the Republican base...There's a lot of energy among Republicans across the country in opposition to this."
Despite endorsements from John Cornyn and and feckless Mitch McConnell, an informal survey of grassroots Republicans indicates that Crist is out of favor with the conservative base. On May 14 Crist appeared in Ft. Lauderdale for a "media availability" session. Anthony Man offers the following from that event:
"Crist is a moderate Republican who’s been criticized by conservatives for straying from what they regard as party principles. Asked about that, he said: 'One of those principles is to make sure that we’re prepared for hurricane season.'" Hunh?
On May 13, Man reported on Broward residents reactions at a Marco Rubio event:
Republicans like Cornyn and McConnell need to wake up before 2010 and figure out that it's RINOs like Crist that caused Republicans to lose power in Washington. Grassroots Republicans are tired of moderate Republicans like McCain, for example. Many people that voted for McCain were voting AGAINST Obama.
The Republican leadership would do better to endorse and support real conservatives like Marco Rubio.
Mitt Romney at the NRA Convention
Mitt Romney's speech at the NRA convention yesterday was great! I'm waiting for a YouTube video of it to show up. Here's the text, and here are some highlights:"Listening to our liberal friends sometimes, I'm reminded a little bit of the monarchists. Not because they want a king instead of a president, but because they place their faith in government. As they see it, government knows best. Government needs to protect us from ourselves. The supreme voice in the land is not the people, but the government."
On the Stimulus:
"Because the Democrats fundamentally believe that government knows best, they decided to give more money to government. And so Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and others put together a wish list of new ways to spend taxpayer dollars by the hundreds of billions. Will the economy come back? Of course it will, but not as quickly and as strongly as it could have. Why? Because the heavy hand of government is never as effective as the dreams and vision and hard work of 300 million Americans."
On Obama's apology tour:
"I'm glad that he backed away from his campaign promise to pull the troops immediately out of Iraq. I'm glad he is going to get tough on the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. I'm glad he's continuing to hold military tribunals for terrorists...President Obama, however, is wrong to back away on missile defense. He was wrong to go on Arab TV and claim that America has dictated to other nations. America has sacrificed more than any other nation to free people from dictators."
On national security:
"The jihadists are still at war with America, and we shouldn't be worried about whether someone reads them their rights. They are still determined to do our country great harm. Our government has no greater duty than a vigilant defense, and no greater purpose than victory for America and for the cause of freedom."A New Blog!
Robert Stacy McCain has a new blog. He still has his old blog, of course, but he's on a new mission now. He's multi-tasking!Check out Not One Red Cent.
Here's his motivation:
"On May 12, 2009, The National Republican Senatorial Committee betrayed its mission, betrayed Republican voters, and betrayed the Reagan legacy. The NRSC sided with an establishment candidate, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, in a Senate primary against young conservative leader, former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio.
"Republicans across the country were outraged by this action, which is only the latest betrayal of grassroots conservatives by the out-of-touch GOP elite in Washington.
"The word went forth among conservative activists: Do not give money to the NRSC. The current chairman, Sen. John Cornyn, must resign. His replacement must pledge to keep the committee neutral in contested primaries. Let Republican voters -- not party elites -- choose Republican candidates.
"This is where the conservative grassroots rebellion begins. When the NRSC asks you for money, tell 'em: Not One Red Cent!"
He's right. There's little doubt that the party elites are primarily responsible for the mess the Republican party is in now. True Republicans want to get back to our conservative Reagan values and far away from the centrist, RINO, Democrat-lite that many of the party leaders have become.
This is why you hear so many people say, "I'm not a Republican, I'm a Conservative!" Well, since there's no Conservative party on the ticket, we've got to return the Republican party to its values and Stacy is taking a step with his new blog.
And for that matter, Stacy McCain is doing the ideal thing - he's actually DOING something rather than complaining. He's trying to help the party by doing what he's good at - writing.
So check out the site!

Romano Updates His Normandy Post
In the interest of fairness, I'm now posting Romano's update to his post. Fresh meat for the trolls.
"UPDATE and CORRECTION: Barack Obama deciding to come to Normandy at the last minute, after his return from Egypt, has forced public tour companies to cancel their bookings for June 6th without warning. My original source blamed this on the US State Department when in fact it was the French government itself that made this decision.
I have learned from a follow-up source, that while it is unprecedented for the late notice, this would have most likely been the protocol in any case.
A bit less scandalous than first reported."
Roxana Saberi in Vienna!

Roxana Saberi is in Austria with her parents.
From the NYDaily News:
Saberi, smiling and looking well, was accompanied by her parents. She said she planned to spend several days in the Austrian capital so she could begin to come to terms with her ordeal.
"I came to Vienna because I heard it was a calm and relaxing place," said Saberi, 32. "I know you have many questions but I need some more time to think about what happened to me over the past couple of days."
The Lede also has a report.
Nationalized Health Care: Worse than Imagined!
We're fixing to take the big one on this folks, and people better start speaking out on it and becoming informed before you end up with something you really don't want. Don't be so trusting when BHO says you'll be able to "keep your health insurance that you have now." Not so.
Go read this.

Terrorists Aren't Dangerous
Today Eric Holder said this to the House Judiciary Committee on what to do with the 241 prisoners in Gitmo:"We are not going to do anything that will endanger the American people," Holder said. "If there were a sufficient basis to conclude they pose a danger to the United States, we would not release them."
Wonder what the BHO administration considers "sufficient basis"? Apparently training in a Tora Bora al Qaeda terrorist camp doesn't qualify. What does it take to be considered dangerous by Team Obama?
Oh wait. I remember, now.
Shreveport/Bossier July 4 Tea Party
There are plans underway for the July 4 Tea Party - same location (Bossier Civic Center) from 4 - 9. Make plans to be there! No fireworks allowed but it's a nice spot to view the fireworks from the Riverfront. Bring lawn chairs! And remember, it's family friendly.
Be sure to follow updates on their website, on Twitter, on Facebook, or here.
And in case you didn't get to the Tax Day Tea Party, take a look at the CL Bryant video! He was great! (About 1:14 you can see a part of my head at the bottom of the frame; I'm the blond in a red t-shirt.)
Rove, Jacobson and Nancy
Rove writes, "It is clear that after the 9/11 attacks Mrs. Pelosi was briefed on enhanced interrogation techniques and the valuable information they produced. She not only agreed with what was being done, she apparently pressed the CIA to do more.
"But when political winds shifted, Mrs. Pelosi seems to have decided to use enhanced interrogation as an issue to attack Republicans. It is disgraceful that Democrats who discovered their outrage years after the fact are now braying for disbarment of the government lawyers who justified EITs and the prosecution of Bush administration officials who authorized them. Mrs. Pelosi is hip-deep in dangerous waters, and they are rapidly rising."
and Jacobson: "What will Democrats do if they find that other Democrats were morally if not legally culpable in waterboarding? Do the Democrats have an exit strategy?
"Here's my prediction of what will happen if Democrats push the investigation to the bitter end causing damage to national security, a political death match with the CIA, and Democrat-on-Democrat finger pointing:
Stenny Hoyer, Speaker; Jane Harman, Majority Leader; Nancy Pelosi, Chair of the House sub-committee on fresh water fisheries; Republicans, unexpected gains in 2010 mid-term elections."The Democrats wished hard for an investigation into waterboarding and other interrogation methods. They may have wished too hard, because they are about to get what they wished for, with no way out."
It seems Nancy Pelosi is in a mess! Be sure to read Jacobson's entire post - he's brilliant.

Self Pity and Exhaustion!
School is wearing me totally out right now; we're down to single digits in days left of class (we don't count weekends) and the kids are getting crazier by the day. It's taking every ounce of energy to keep them contained; by the time I get home, I am a zombie.
The Teenager has it as bad as I do; he crashed about an hour after we got home from school. He becomes a Senior in a few days, and well, I can't tell that he's all that excited - he's just tired!
Blogging has been light this week for this reason and will maybe start to pick up in a few days.
All I want to do right now is hunker down in my bed, my puppy at the end, and read a good book. And wait for May 28.
A Terrorist is a Terrorist
"I have grave concerns that you are playing fast and loose with the definition of “terrorist” and may be misleading the American people regarding its plans to release the Uyghur detainees into the U.S. Let me be very clear – the Uyghurs held at Guantanamo Bay are trained terrorists and members or associates of the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM), a designated terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda, as designated by both the U.S. government and the United Nations (U.N.). Whether their intended victims were Chinese or Americans, a trained terrorist is a terrorist."
Here's my virtual high-five to Rep. Wolfe!

Soda Tax Silliness
A tax on soda to pay for health care? You're going to up the cost of my Diet Cokes to pay for somebody else's health care? Because I already have health insurance that I pay for, so I'm good. Now I have to pay for someone else's by drinking more soda? Sort of like my mom's cigarette smoking paying for the SCHIP program. But wait, my Diet Cokes aren't "sugary" - they're diet! Does that still count?
And what was that again about my taxes not going up unless I made over $250K (now $235K)?
What happens when people cut back on soda consumption in protest? Does the government health care program go under? I know plenty of people who are smoking less or not smoking at all because of the huge tax increase on cigarettes that went into effect in April. I expect the same thing will happen with soda. Oh, I know. You're going to tell me "what's a few cents a can!? Get over it!"
Precedent. That's what it is. Where does it end? Remember "the oath" in Atlas Shrugged? "I swear - by my life and my love of it - that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."
Seriously, this health care business is crazier than a run over dog. European socialized medicine is NOT what Americans want or need. Folks need to wake up in 2010 and put a stop to this runaway train.
Update: Ha! TrogloPundit raises an interesting question:
And, most importantly:
- When do they come for the red meat?
Update II: More to the subject of health care rather than soda tax, Hot Air posted this Townhall video which is just chilling. Commentary from Ed Morrissey at the link:
Basically, the elderly or the very ill are expendable. Is this really where we want to go?
Poems on Pennsylvania Avenue
"On tap at the White House on Tuesday night? A poetry jam — with smooth jazz, cool verses and spoken word. The literary and musical event in the East Room will include the actor James Earl Jones, the writers Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman (who are husband and wife), the jazz singer and bassist Esperanza Spalding and the pianist Eric Lewis. Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and starred in “In the Heights,” the Broadway musical that won a Tony last year, will also perform."
And you can watch live on your very own internet. I guess Elizabeth Alexander wasn't available.

On Polls and Information Sources
I think this poll is rather frightening:"Given a choice of three options, just 24% of voters can correctly identify the cap-and-trade proposal as something that deals with environmental issues. A slightly higher number (29%) believe the proposal has something to do with regulating Wall Street while 17% think the term applies to health care
It astounds me how uninformed so many people are. I don't say that trying to fluff my own feathers, because while I know every single day that I have a lot to learn, I do make an effort to stay informed.
Many people just don't care about politics and would rather leave it to the people in Washington they've elected. Many people find politics boring. Many people have lousy hometown newspapers. Not everybody stays tuned in to a news channel. Whatever excuse - the fact remains that this poll is quite likely very true. Many people don't know what cap and trade is. Or what socialism is. Or who the vice-president is.
I used to think those "man on the street" interviews were just set up, but now I don't think so. You'd get some radio person or tv person to go out and find the lowest schmuck in the shallowest gene pool and start asking him to name the members of the Supreme Court or even how many members there are, and the guy is all ... " Uh.... dude, wasn't that Diana Ross?"
Even on a local scale this sad fact exists. There are LARGE numbers of people in Louisiana that don't realize that their taxpayer dollars in the budget each year go to fund things like the Martin Luther King Neighborhood Association in (any city), or the Purple Circle Social Club in New Orleans (they needed a tree removed from their property). We have a sorry newspaper in Shreveport - just the facts. It's a TERRIBLE newspaper. And they don't report these things.
My mother just canceled her Sunday paper, by the way, because it's 80% sales circulars, 15% ads, and 5% frivolous articles that have been recycled from other newspapers.
The point is that I suspect this Rasmussen poll is pretty accurate. And that scares me to death because if we don't stay informed and involved in the political process, if we just "leave it to the people we elected" then we'll wake up one day wondering what the heck happened to our country. I'm already wondering that, but that's beside the point.
You don't have to be an activist to be interested in what's going on. You have avenues of information. My mother, for example, quit the Sunday paper but still takes two other papers and watches cable news (two different channels). She's in no way a news junkie or an activist. But she likes to know what's going on.
When I hear things like the Rasmussen poll referenced above, it makes me realize the value of blogs, newspapers, internet, and other periodicals that people can use to stay informed.
We have spirited discussions in the comments on this blog, sometimes, and sometimes people are nasty and insulting, but hopefully, the process serves to inform. And ultimately that's better than not knowing, most of the time, anyway.
I Finally Finished Atlas Shrugged
I have finally finished reading Atlas Shrugged. It took me forever. At 1168 pages, it took at least four weeks and that is an inordinately long time for me to spend on a book. My excuse is that I was only reading at night right before bed which slowed me down. Because of all the LIFE things that I do all day that was the only reading time I had!At any rate, it was a wonderful book and I'm glad I read it. I was supposed to read it in high school but didn't, tried to read it later and never finished, and then just put it off. So now I've read it. This might be sacrilege but I thought it could use an editor. I loved much of the prose and the symbolism, the message, the themes, but sometimes it just got tedious.
Ah well. Next up. I just had to reach for something fast and light after that one, so I grabbed the John Grisham off my "to read" shelf. The Associate. I have a few Harlan Cobens sitting here, too. Fast and quick.
I still have Joe Torre's book that has been sitting here for a while. I adore Shreve Stockton and The Daily Coyote, and her book is still sitting here. I've looked at all the pictures already! And I still have The Tale of Despereaux which has been sitting here for months. Mrs. Astor Regrets has been sitting here longer than that, and Flyboys by James Bradley still awaits. And any day, my copy of A Safe Haven will arrive.
So goodbye, John Galt, Dagny, Reardon, and Eddie. The summer reading season is about to kick off!
Roxana Saberi to be Freed
TEHRAN (Reuters) - An Iranian appeals court has reduced the eight-year jail sentence for Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi to a suspended two-year term and she will soon be freed, her defense lawyer told Reuters on Monday.
Lawyer Abdolsamad Khorramshahi was speaking a day after the court heard the case of Saberi, who was jailed by a lower court on April 18 on charges of spying for the United States.
"The appeals court ... has reduced her jail sentence from eight years to two years of suspended sentence ... and she will soon be free," Khorramshahi told Reuters.
He said Saberi will be banned from doing any reporting work in Iran for five years.
Saberi's father Reza said he and his wife Akiko were on their way to Tehran's Evin jail, where their daughter has been held since late January, "to bring our daughter back home."
Reza Saberi told Reuters his daughter would be allowed to leave Iran.

10,000 Visits
Woot! A small landmark in my blogging career. I have finally passed 10,000 visits. It's a heck of a long way to Robert Stacy McCain's Million Hits or Professor Jacobson's enviable site meter, but it's a start. Both of those guys hit over 10,000 in a single day. It's taken me eight months. In fact, most of those 10,000 hits I can attribute to their generosity and kindness in linking this poor little blog. I'm obviously in no position to throw them much traffic, if any, but they link me anyway and I totally *heart* them for that.
I suppose I could borrow a page from The Other McCain and blog "Russell Crowe Naked Pics" or "Hugh Laurie Naked Pics" and get a Google-lanche! It worked for him and Carrie Prejean. "Russell Crowe nude!"
If I can ever get Technorati to ping my blog, maybe I'll get a few more hits. My stats say it hasn't been pinged in 270+ days, even though I have it coded properly and ping manually also. They have no customer service there either, so I can't get any answers from them. And for some reason, I can't post on discussion boards.
Anyway, I'll keep working on my blog-fu and you guys go read The Other McCain and Legal Insurrection because they are nice to me. Read some of those good folks on my blogroll, too because they ROCK! Some of them link me, too!
The HonorAir Program
After sputtering and spitting for a while over the Obama/Normandy thing, a friend just phoned me and reminded me of the Louisiana Honor Air program. There may be an HonorAir in your state - at last check, there were 33 states participating. This is a wonderful program:From their site: "Louisiana HonorAir is an organization of local people who's mission is to provide every WWII veteran, who is physically able to travel, the opportunity to view their World War II Memorial for the first time. The World War II Memorial was dedicated in 2004 for a generation who's youngest member is in their late seventies, so many of the men and women who fought and sacrificed for our country have not had an opportunity, or ability, to visit."
"For all Veterans interested in participating, the flight, ground transportation, wheelchairs, meals and other necessities are free of charge. Local volunteers, or guardians, will accompany the Veterans on the trip to assist with any physical or health needs and limitations.
"Louisiana HonorAir began providing one-day trips in 2007, with more scheduled for the future. The participants will travel by chartered aircraft from Louisiana to Reagan Washington National Airport, where they board motor coaches and travel to the Washington Mall to tour the World War II Memorial and enjoy a box lunch. There will also be an opportunity to tour the Korean War Veterans, Vietnam Veterans, and Iwo Jima Memorials, if time permits. The Veterans will also visit Arlington National Cemetery and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and then a return flight the same night."
I also want to mention Greta Perry and her tireless work with Soldier's Angels. Check out her blog and consider getting involved with one of the Soldier's Angels projects.
With the current administration, it seems that our veterans are going to need us more than ever.
The Incredible Arrogance of Obama - Asks French Government to Deny Tourists at Normandy When He Visits
John Romano (via Memeorandum) has a brilliant piece on Big Hollywood. And I'd like to write about it but I'm trying to clean my brains off the wall where I beat my head until it exploded. I'll try to get myself together and encourage you to read his article. That beating my head against the wall thing? It's because I just can't understand, I just can't GET why people adore Barack Obama.
I have commenters on this blog and I know people that fawn over every move he makes. I hear comments along the lines of "Thank GOD we have an intelligent president now! He's awesome! I love him! I *heart* him! He's going to restore America's popularity in the world! Everyone will like us again! He's going to provide health care to EVERY American! He's going to give you a TAX CUT! " Oh, it goes on and on. I don't begrudge them their feelings and opinions, really. That's what makes politics, but I just don't GET it. I guess I'm a knuckle dragging neanderthal. Not intelligent enough to keep up with the masses.
Back to Romano. He's writing about Obama's upcoming visit to Normandy and he compares what is to come with George W. Bush's visit in 2004. For Obama's visit - he has asked that no tourists be allowed to tour Normandy that day because HE will be there. It's the 65th anniversary of D-Day and he doesn't want to let anybody else in. What arrogance!
Don't tell me it's about security either. They managed security when Bush went.
"The 65th Anniversary of D-Day is fast approaching. Barack Obama will attend the events on June 6th as George Bush did in 2004 for the sixtieth memorial service. Here is the rub, as of now Obama’s State Department has asked (read demanded) the French government not allow tour guide services to operate that day. It is a big day for Normandy tourism. Yet, the king will not allow those not connected with government to enjoy the day. Obama is very important you know. This is an unprecedented request. I hope the French come to their senses and deny it.
Compare that with 2004. Security was tight as President Bush and other world leaders were in attendance, but the event was still open to all. A friend relayed the story of waiting in line to use a port-a-potty (a French port-a-potty no doubt, yuck, believe me.) She looks to her left and who he is in the next line waiting patiently? President Bush. Sure he had Secret Service nearby, but he waited like everyone else."
Obama's arrogance is simply beyond belief. I suppose to many people, the people who voted for him, this is not a character flaw. To me, it is. I don't think you can argue a case that he is not arrogant, although I am sure someone will try. Romano has Obama on video (I'm not going to steal his entire post - you'll have to go watch it for yourself!) saying "a light will shine down from somewhere...You will experience an epiphany. And you will say to yourself, 'I have to vote for Barack.'"
Arrogance is a serious character flaw because it leads you to believe that you are always right and you are unable to listen to those who may be able to guide you. You believe your way is the only way and that you can make no mistakes. Like Caesar. Or Oediupus.
Romano
enourages us to remember the 2010 elections are coming and that there is still time to slow down this train wreck. I honestly do not, at this point, believe that the Obamabots will turn against their leader; they love him. They love Michelle. They love Michelle's arms. They love the dog. But the elections will give the rest of us a chance to slow down the havoc that he is imposing on our country. If he gets all four years unchecked then the damage will be practically unreparable. As Romano says, NOT what those boys in Normandy died for.
I've got to go finish cleaning brain matter off my walls.
