Where's the Slam?

I'm not seeing it. What am I missing?

Drudge's current headline is "It's On! W Slams O!" It links to this Washington Times story.
Bush is quoted as defending interrogations, saying they were within the law. He says the private sector, not government, will fix the economy. He rejects nationalized heath care.

I guess if you were really looking for drama this would be the most controversial thing he said: "I told you I'm not going to criticize my successor," he said. "I'll just tell you that there are people at Gitmo that will kill American people at a drop of a hat and I don't believe that -- persuasion isn't going to work. Therapy isn't going to cause terrorists to change their mind."

Where's the slam? I'm not seeing it.

Yeha me neither. talk about build up. Drudge could have gone with (movie man voice) "In a world, an ex-president and his predecessor face off in civil discourse...only that didn't really happen...."

Red,

I thought you were from Texas or something. Yee-haw!

I agree. That is pretty mild.

It reminds me of my brothers and I as kids. "Maaa! He's lookin' at me!" We kinda stopped that after the whole lot of us getting whippings.

GWB does not have the disposition to get into the gutter with a street fighter. He understands that there is a lot to lose and nothing to gain with the present habits and make up of the media. He might let loose with the occasional pot shot. But I doubt it will ever go beyond that.
Basically I think Bush is too smart and classy to mix it up with Obama.
