Catching Up

Steve is the proud owner of a new Macbook. His PC finally bit the dust and he knew months ago that he was ready for a Mac. So we went to Best Buy last night and had a look, talked to some folks, and he made his pick.

Everyone I've ever talked to that uses Macs totally loves them and would never go back to a PC. I'm still all PC around here but I think when I get another notebook it will be a Mac. Windows Vista has just done me in. I hate it. And PCs have so many virus and spyware issues. I'm sure there is some of that with Macs, I don't know. But it's a pretty little computer and I know I'll want one of my own before too long! I do know that I'm a believer in Apple products: I love my video iPod and I covet my teenager's iPhone.

Beyond that we have about recovered from the holidays and it's back to work for me on Monday. I've decided that I could just about get used to living in my pajamas all day, wearing no contacts and no makeup and live behind my computer. The occasional stroll outside into the garden to putter about, walk the dog in the afternoon, and then back to blogging. I could totally do it. But I guess after a while I'd get bored and miss real people. Maybe.

At any rate, I'm going to make the best of my last weekend of vacation for a while. The weather is gorgeous today so I have all the windows open (Checkers is running from one to the other barking at every creature that goes down the sidewalk) some Big Band music going, and an Abita Root Beer.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Macs don't get viruses! They are amazing, and I HATE PCs. :) Macs are so much more intuitive. I promise Steve will LOVE his! :)
